In class, we have been learning about integrity. It is important because nothing is hidden from God. A person with integrity does the right thing, even when no one is looking. Having integrity is a blessing.
Please enjoy my writing of integrity and of Jonah
Integrity is being honest and doing right even when people aren't looking. Do you do all that? If you do you have integrity, but if you don't do this and do bad things behind other people's back and when people aren't looking you are not having integrity and you aren't honest. Being good when people are with you and then not when no one is looking there is still someone is still watching you every move, it is good.
Do you want to have a bad reputation with god? I don't think you do, It is not a good reputation to be known as. Integrity is something that God has; he also has resilience.
Today I will be talking about Jonah.
Jonah has a connection from God, he was sent to the great city of Nineveh and told to announce the judgment against it because God has seen what wicked people they are and what wicked things they do. Jonah went away from the lord and had disbelief in him, he went the opposite way and went to the ship leaving for Tarnish. He bought a ticket and hopped on board awaiting to get away from the lord, but God hurled a powerful storm that was violent that threatened to break the ship. Jonah was sound asleep and the shipman scurried down and woke Jonah up at once. Jonah knew the Lord has done this because of Jonah disobeying the lord and whirling up a terrible storm, and Jonah said “I shall jump into the sea and it will be calm again for you” But even though the storm had stopped the lord still had a plan for Jonah, he would be eaten by a fish and stay in the stomach for three days and three nights. Then at once, Jonah started praying and so he said “I cried out to the Lord in my trouble, and he answered me. I called you from the land of death and the lord you heard me! You threw me into the depths of the oceans, and I sank down to the hearts of the sea. The mighty waters engulfed me. I was buried beneath your wild and stormy waves.
Then I said O Lord, you have driven away from your presence. Yet I will look once more to your holy temple. I sank beneath the waves and the water closed over me. Seaweed wrapped itself around my head. I sank down to the very roots of the mountain. But you O Lord my God, snatched me from the jaws of death!
As my life was slipping away I remembered the Lord. Those who worship false gods turn their backs on all gods' mercies. But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill my vows”. Then the Lord answered for the second time with the same command “ Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message I have given you”, Jonah obeyed his commands.
In conclusion, Jonah has had integrity and lost faith in the lord but soon enough he became a believer again. Jonah didn't have integrity apart from the end and he obeyed God at the end
